One of the more intriguing parts of the offseason has arrived. The undrafted rookie free agents. These are the guys who have nothing to lose and everything to prove.
The Saints have a good track record of getting these undrafted guys. To list a few, some Saints undrafted free agents are Deonte Harty, Marquez Callaway, J.T. Gray, Andrew Dowell, Shy Tuttle, and Carl Granderson.
The Saints so far have signed 17 UDFA putting their roster at 94 players which is 4 over the roster maximum. Some guys signed and others were just invited to the rookie mini camp.
Here’s the list of those players so far.
Defensive backs: Smoke Monday, Vincent Gray, DaMarcus Fields, and Jack Koerner
Linebackers: Nephi Sewell, Isaiah Pryor, and Joel Dublanko.
Offensive line: Sage Doxtater, Lewis Kidd, Eric Wilson, and Derek Schweiger
Running back: Abram Smith
Wide receiver: Dai’Jean Dixon and Rashid Shaheed
Tight end: Lucas Krull
Kicker: John Parker Romo
Punter: Daniel Whelan
