Taysom Hill prepared to start, Cowboys short handed, other news from Monday

The Saints are starting to get the offense somewhat back together as they get healthier. The Saints still are thin at some positions but their overall conception is that the team is getting healthy. The offense could also be picking up pace this week as adjustments will be made.

News

The Cowboys are currently dealing with some Covid problems. Their head coach Mike McCarthy tested positive for Covid and will miss Thursday’s game. There are around 8 total positives in Dallas. To go along with that, right tackle Terence Steele, OL coach Joe Philbin, assistant OL coach Jeff Blasko, and offensive assistant Scott Tolzien Will all miss Thursday’s game as well.

Amari Cooper, who missed last week due to Covid, will be available for Thursday’s game.

Former Falcons head coach and current Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will be the head coach for the game. Quinn is 4-6 as a head coach vs the Saints, and Taysom Hill made his first start as a quarterback last season against Dan Quinn. Which leads me to the next update from today.

Taysom Hill is preparing to be the starter for Sunday’s game vs the Cowboys. Trevor Siemian has been the quarterback the past four and a half weeks filling in for Jameis Winston.

Hill’s concussion and recent plantar fascia injury in his foot has held him back from being the starter the past two weeks is my belief. If Hill doesn’t have that foot injury, we may see him start on Thanksgiving vs the Bills.

Hill is preparing to start, but has to practice through the whole week with no setbacks. If he stays clear of a setback he should be set to start.
