Not the best day for the Saints as the injuries continue to pile up along with unfortunate luck. The Saints have yet to have a full health and it doesn’t appear that it will happen anytime this season, as one guy comes back another one goes has been the story of the Saints this year. While there are lots of negatives, that doesn’t mean there aren’t positive updates as well.
Injury report
*Chauncey Gardner Johnson has a broken toe and is believed to be week to week. Kamara doesn’t look like he’ll play, unless something drastically changes. Things don’t look for Terron Armstead either for this week.
Saints news
The Saints will not be getting Odell Beckham Jr. as he is signing a one year deal with the Rams. The Saints could end up getting him in the offseason but for now he is a LA Ram.
Marshon Lattimore got the cast off his hand Monday after receiving surgery back in week two.
Ty Montgomery was seen taking snaps and reps at running back during practice. Montgomery is questionable this week.
Mark Ingram is 20 yards away from becoming the Saints all time leading rusher.
Saints transactions
Payton Turner was placed on injured reserve and will miss at least three weeks. He had been suffering a calf injury and then suffered a shoulder injury Sunday vs the Falcons.
Tight end Nick Vannett was activated off of injured reserve and the Saints got some very much needed help. Tight end has been struggling this season along with skill position guys.
NFL News
49ers waived wide receiver Jalen Hurd, something to watch. Not sure if the Saints look into him just for some updates.
