Saints relentless on calling Odell, Kamara banged up, other news from Tuesday 11/9

Pretty busy day in the Saints world of news. Lots of players and processes to monitor as the week goes on. Some injuries and available free agents especially to keep an eye on as the week progresses.

Saints news

Saints worked out three running backs including Kerryon Johnson, Josh Adams, and Rodney Smith. According to Nick Underhill of neworleans.football Kamara got banged up a bit on Sunday and was briefly in the blue medical tent Sunday. Nothing major right now, but something to watch as the week progresses.

Roster moves

Chase Hansen was waived after being activated from injured reserve yesterday. This move does clear a little bit of cap space for the Saints and he is going into the waiver wire.

Running back Josh Adams was signed to the practice squad.

Things to monitor

Odell Beckham cleared waivers today and may now sign with whatever team he wants to play with. Lots of rumors but the Saints have in fact called Odell and his camp. Odell was set on signing elsewhere but the Saints have been relentless in their efforts to sign Odell according to Dylan Sanders. Jordan Shultz also mentioned that the Saints have been in talks with Odell and his camp. Possible decision maybe – a big maybe – tomorrow.

Even Saints players like Kwon Alexander, Cameron Jordan, and former Saint Lance Moore have all taken to Twitter to try and recru Odell to New Orleans, his hometown.

Titans waived wide receiver Josh Reynolds and will go to the waiver wire. Possible option for the Saints, wouldn’t be the best upgrade but it would be an upgrade.

Tight end Darren Fells cleared waivers, I don’t think the Saints would look into him but he is available.
