Attendance:
- Pete Werner returned to practice but no contact
- Will Clapp returned as well and was a full participant
- Wil Lutz, Tre’Quan Smith, Tommylee Lewis, Alex Armah, Malcolm Roach, and Payton Turner were all absent
- Lattimore, Peat, Harris and some others were present but appeared to have the night off
Updates:
- Tight end Josh Pederson was waived
- Tommylee Lewis was placed on injured reserve
- Saints signed safety Jeff Heath (present at practice)
- Kicker Aldrick Rosas signed with the Saints (present at practice)
Notes:
- Taysom Hill took first team reps
- Ty Montgomery and Lil’Jordan Humphrey were the starting wide receivers along with Callaway
- P.J. Williams started for Marcus Williams
- Kevin White is looking solid and is learning the system quickly
- A lot of balls were dropped
- Ken Crawley had some good pass break ups and continues to have a strong camp
- Davenport is starting to have a great day almost everyday
- The quarterbacks had a really good competitive day
Plays:
- Kevin White had a touchdown catch from Winston
- Taysom Hill had some rushing touchdowns during team red zone drills
- During two minute drill, Taysom had a touchdown to Juwan on the final play but was called PI
- Jameis had the play of the day throwing a 80 yard touchdown (50-55 air yards) to Chris Hogan hitting him in stride during two minute drill
- Winston threw a touchdown to Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Tony Jones during 7 on 7’s
- Taysom Hill had a really good throw to Callaway over the middle
- Ken Crawley broke up a pass covering Callaway
- Later during team Crawley would break up another pass in the end zone on Callaway
- Adebo also got some pas a break ups and one specifically on Callaway
- Hill during two minute offense with under a minute hit Callaway on a deep shot to put them in scoring range
