Updates:
- Tight end Demetrius Harris is workout out with the Saints
- The Saints worked out tight end Gabe Holmes
Notes:
- The quarterbacks looked sharp today
- Kwon got reps with the first team defense during the walkthrough (half speed)
- Patrick Robinson got cornerback two reps
- Second team corners were Amukamara and Crawley
- Zack Baun had a solid team session
- Paulson Adebo got reps in at slot corner
- Winston went 4/4 and Taysom went 4/5 during team drills
- Lots of blown coverages during team drills, no Marshon, Marcus, or Demario during the session though
- Paulson Adebo got some reps in opposite of Marshon Lattimore during the second session of team drills
- Not the best outing from Hill during the second session of team drills
- Zack Baun had a lot of good run stuffs on Murray and Freeman
- Winston did overthrow some players deep
Observations:
- Payton Turner powered through Landon Young
- Marcus Davenport had two good reps vs Armstead
- Baun and Werner looked solid
- Payton Turner has been abusing lineman as he dominates Kyle Murphy
- Ceedy and Hogan shared some words of friendly trash talk
- Payton Turner dominated the line so much he had to tap out for a few reps because he was so winded
- Ken Crawley is still undefeated in one on ones
Plays:
- Jameis had a nice touch pass down the seam to Adam Trautman on a double move during team drills
- Taysom found Kamara for a good gain down the right sideline
- Shaq Smith had a near interception
- Carl Granderson had two sacks in three plays
- Werner blew up a screen to Montgomery
- Cam Jordan had a tackle for a loss in an end around
- Winston with a near touchdown to Lil’Jordan Humphrey during team drills
- Zack Baun had his second pick of camp, tip drill and Baun took it from Juwan Johnson, Taysom threw it (possible Noah Spence sack)
- Carl Granderson had a sack the play prior
- Payton Turner had a sack
- Jordan had a sack on Winston
- Winston with some completions to Callaway and Baker on crossers
- Andrew Dowell had a batted down pass on Taysom
One on ones:
- Callaway beat Marshon Lattimore the first time
- Lattimore had a pass break up the second rep against Callaway
- Adonis Alexander bullied Kawaan Baker and got an interception off Ian Book
- Jake Lampman beat Brian Poole for a touchdown
- Paulson Adebo had two pass break ups
- Deonte Harris had a nice catch
- Lil’Jordan Humphrey had good adjusting catches
