The quarterback battle between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill is approaching as well as training camp, which is when we will see the two compete. As of now, it’s likely that Winston is the favorite to start over Hill, but nothing is set and is far from being solidified. That being said though, we’ve seen Winston put in hours and hours of training into this offseason which was posted on his social media and the social media of his teammates like Tre’Quan Smith and Adam Trautman. This doesn’t mean Taysom Hill isn’t working, it’s just that one is more open about his training and the other one is more reserved and private. We know that Hill is training specifically for quarterback this offseason and is getting in some work with Drew Brees’ old trainer.
That being said, players and teammates of the two will have their own option of who should and shouldn’t start. Some footage of Jameis Winston and Tre’Quan Smith getting reps in was posted on Twitter and Saints safety/nickel corner Chauncey Gardner Johnson tweeted out “QB1” implying who he wants starting.
