Jameis Winston’s game is far different from the style of play we saw from Drew Brees from 2019 to 2020. Jameis, as the Saints starting quarterback last season in six and one quarter of football prioritizing passes outside and downfield while Drew was more in-breaking routes and check downs.
A lot of this had to do with the receivers Winston had, but even in his Buccaneer days the downfield passes and outside routes were his favorites. Brees liked the quick passes and Jameis likes to feel out his options.
This made me want to look at every pass Jameis threw this past season and figure out his numbers on passes outside the numbers vs inside the numbers.
