The wait is over and we can all take a breath of relief. The newest members of the Saints are not defensive linemen, it’s not a quarterback. It’s exactly what the team needed to address, wide receiver and offensive tackle.
Just like I said in yesterday’s article, if the Saints wanted to get Chris Olave or Jameson Williams they would need to trade up to the 9-14 range. And guess what, that’s exactly what they did.
The Saints traded picks 16, 98, and 120 to move up to pick 11 just in time before the trading chaos began. With that pick they took Chris Olave and with the 19th pick they took offensive tackle Trevor Penning. Both players have very good traits and are ready to fill in the two biggest holes on the team.
So, how will they fit in the Saints system?
