Saints Covid situation
The Saints are getting guys back but with every bit of good news there of course is going to be some bad news with the Saints.
The Saints got back Carl Granderson and Jalyn Holmes at the defensive line position.
The Saints then placed center Erik McCoy, one of the two healthy starting offensive linemen on the team, on the Covid list.
The current players remaining in the Covid list include: Erik McCoy, Marcus Williams, Wil Lutz, Ryan Ramczyk, Deonte Harty (Harris), Dwayne Washington, Landon Young, Malcolm Roach (practice squad), KeiVarae Russell (practice squad), Jerald Hawkins (practice squad).
Who took over at center
With Saints starting center Erik McCoy being placed on the Covid list the Saints will have to find someone to fill in for him.
Earlier this year when McCoy was dealing with a calf injury right guard Cesar Ruiz took over at center.
During Thursday’s practice however Will Clapp took starting reps at center.
An update on Jameis
Jameis Winston is currently in rehab after tearing his ACL back on Halloween against the Buccaneers.
Today, Winston threw some passes for the first time since his injury to get his throwing motion and mechanics sound.
His progress in rehab is going extremely well and is doing a great job in his recovery.
In terms of rehab and recovery, Winston is ahead of schedule and has been told at times to slow down from trying to do too much.

Ryan Ramczyk isn’t on the list as he’s on the Covid list meaning he won’t show up on the injury report.
