The Saints are getting some pieces back to the team going into a very heavy playoff implication game against the Panthers on Sunday. After missing 22 players some guys returned and are going to play on Sunday.
Saints Covid situation
After being out 22 players due to Covid, the Saints are getting guys back. The Saints got two guys back on Tuesday in Malcolm Jenkins and Juwan Johnson, then the Saints activated 11 players on Wednesday from the Covid list. Those players included Taysom Hill, Trevor Siemian, Demario Davis, Kwon Alexander, Kaden Elliss, JT Gray, Jordan Mills, James Carpenter, Christian Ringo, Jeff Heath, and Adam Trautman.
Of course though with every bit of good Saints news, there is some bad news. Safety Marcus Williams was placed on the Covid list. If he can’t play Sunday, P.J Williams will probably fill in for his role.
The remaining players on the Covid list include Marcus Williams, Wil Lutz (injured reserve), Ryan Ramczyk, Deonte Harty (Harris), Dwayne Washington, Jalyn Holmes, Carl Granderson, Landon Young (injured reserve), Malcolm Roach (practice squad), KeiVarae Russell (practice squad).
Panthers watch
The Panthers are currently dealing with a Covid outbreak of their own and could be missing some significant starters. With the new Covid regulations and isolation time frame however, they could get some guys back sooner than later along with the Saints.
Quarterback Sam Darnold will be starting Sunday against the Saints.
Injury report
The Saints didn’t practice on Wednesday due to playing their game on Monday night. Their injury report is estimated as to what it would’ve looked like.
Also Ryan Ramczyk isn’t on the list as he’s on the Covid list meaning he won’t show up on the injury report.
