Players to watch

Taysom Hill, how comfortable he looks at quarterback and how athletic he looks with that injured foot.

Marshon Lattimore, he’s had a few down weeks, can he bounce back vs Lamb and possibly Cooper.

Carl Granderson, he had a good game last week, can he continue that style of play and pressure Dak.

Brett Maher, we haven’t seen much of him, can he maybe be a good solid consistent kicker.

Things to keep an eye on

How does the offensive line perform if Terron and Ramczyk wind up not playing.

Does the run game get back on track with Mark Ingram back and maybe Alvin Kamara.

Can the return game be better after a horrific week vs Buffalo.

How comfortable is Taysom Hill at quarterback.

How does the offense look with a new quarterback and can they get into a momentum.

Keys to the game

Convert, the Saints have been a terrible offense on third down, two point attempts, PAT’s, and taking advantage of opportunities the defense presents. If the Saints want to win this game they have to be able to keep the chains moving and take advantage of when the Cowboys turn the ball over. The Saints can’t leave any points off the board, and need to convert in their PAT’s and their red zone opportunities.

Make Taysom comfortable, Hill will make his first start since December of last season. He hasn’t played as a starter in a few weeks due to a foot injury, so the team around him will have to help him out. Obviously that’s a lot to ask for this season because the supporting cast has a lack of experience. However, guys like Mark Ingram, Deonte Harris, and the offensive line need to be a solid part of the team tonight and give Hill some assistance so he can make the right reads.

Control the clock, the Cowboys offense has been one of the best this season and keeping their offense off the field would be huge. It rests the defense, gets some amount of points, and keeps the Cowboys offense off the field as much as possible. Running the ball efficiently and chewing clock will be a big part of the offensive game plan tonight.
