How the Saints can find their way back to a wildcard spot

The Saints playoffs hopes are getting slimmer and slimmer by the week as they just suffered a fourth loss. They currently stand at 5-6 and are outside the wildcard spot looking in. The Saints are in competition with the Vikings, 49ers, Falcons, and Panthers for a wildcard spot at the 7 and 6 spot.

Some fans have been questioning if this team is a wildcard team recently, and the way they’ve been playing, they’re not. But in the upcoming weeks the Saints will get Alvin Kamara, Ryan Ramczyk, Mark Ingram, Chauncey Gardner Johnson, Tanoh Kpassagnon, Marcus Davenport, Payton Turner and probably a few others. To go along with that, the Saints could potentially play Taysom at quarterback which would give a spark to the offense. The offense right now is not a playoff caliber offense, an offense with Taysom Hill, Alvin Kamara, Ryan Ramczyk is an offense that can get some wins and maybe appear in a playoff game.

Now that’s how the Saints can still be a playoff team, but in order to do that they’ll need quite a bit of help.

First the Giants have to beat the Eagles. The Eagles are one win behind the Saints and with a win they stay ahead of the Saints since they beat them and have the tiebreaker. A Giants win would be huge for the Saints.

The second game to watch is the Panthers and Dolphins. The Saints will play the Panthers again, but for now they have a half game lead on the Saints because they have the tiebreaker. A Dolphins win would send the Panthers back another game behind the Saints and keep the Saints in front.

The Falcons and Jaguars are the third game to have on watch. Once again the Saints don’t have the tiebreaker at the moment vs the Falcons, and with a win they’d be ahead of the Saints by half a game. Again the Saints will play them later on in the season, but the Saints need help now. The Jaguars need to come through and get a win.

The Vikings play the 49ers, and right now either one works. A Vikings loss works as they have a better conference record than the Saints, on the other hand a 49ers loss would send them to 5-6 and the Saints would be ahead of them. But a Vikings win puts them quite a bit away from the Saints in the playoff race.

The final one and this is pretty clear, the Colts need to beat the Bucs.

Now if all things go well, the Saints have to start doing their job and start winning games again.
