Saints Training Camp Day 11 Notes

Attendance: 

  • No Tre’Quan Smith, P.J. Williams, Pete Werner, KeiVarae Russell, Adonis Alexander, Demario Davis, Terron Armstead, Wil Lutz, Quentin Poling or Ethan Wolf 
  • Payton Turner and Andrus Peat left practice early 

Updates:

  • Patrick Robinson announced his retirement after 11 seasons 
  • Prince Amukamara switched to number 21 and kicker Brett Maher is number 6
  • Sean Payton still believe corner is a must positions, keep an eye out for a trade or signing 

Notes:

  • During two minute drills Taysom Hill had the best drive
  • Taysom had some of his best throws of camp today
  • The defense stopped both Winston and Hill once each during two minute drill
  • Bryce Thompson had another stand out day 
  • Adebo is progressively getting better by the day and has been working in his footwork 

Observations:

  • No update

Plays:

  • During two minute drill Taysom had a touchdown pass to Juwan Johnson who went up to make a great catch on the goal line (25 yards out) 
  • Winston led his two minute offense near the goal line with a comeback route to Chris Hogan but resulted in a field goal
  • Paulson Adebo had an interception off of a Marcus Davenport tip on Winston, Adebo did a great job going up and snagging the ball out of the air
  • Bryce Thompson shut down the third team offense (led by Trevor Siemian) on third and fourth down coming up with two clutch pass break ups 
  • Thompson nearly had a pick on Jake Lampman
