Who do the Saints need help from this week? Week 15 rooting guide

The Saints are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive, and with a weak NFC the possibility of getting the 7th seed or 6th seed is very possible, but they’ll need some help.

The Saints are currently the bottom team of the “In the hunt” teams standing at 6-7 in a five way tie with the Washington Football Team, Vikings, Eagles, and Falcons.

Until the Saints are mathematically ruled out of the playoffs, they will always try to find ways to win around their adversity. So who needs to help them out?

The first and most important thing is that the Saints need to win out or win three of their next four, which this team is capable of as every game is winnable.

Panthers @ Bills: Bills, this one is a pretty easy one to explain. The Panthers are only half a game behind the Saints, so anytime the Panthers lose and stay a game or two behind the Saints is critical.

Falcons @ 49ers: Falcons, while this one hurts a Falcons win can help the Saints. This would put the 49ers down a game and it would be another loss in the NFC conference. The Saints do play the Falcons again and can take care of business then, however the Saints don’t play the 49ers so any games that put them down help the Saints, it also wouldn’t hurt either if the 49ers won.

Vikings @ Bears: Bears, the Vikings have the same record as the Saints, but their confidence record is better than the Saints. So a loss to the Bears would put the Saints in a tie in every category with the Vikings in terms of record, division record, and conference record.

Washington @ Eagles: Washington, the Saints have the tiebreaker over the WFT but not the Eagles. An Eagles loss drops them down and if the Saints find ways to win and Washington loses one or two, then the Saints will overtake Washington in the wildcard race.
