Kamara eyeing return, Easop Winston next man up?

Wednesday for the Saints was filled with updates and rumors along with some roster moves. With this team though, with every bit of good news, a load of bad news needs to be unleashed. The Saints once again are going to have to figure out ways to win with the guys they have, luckily they’ll be getting some guys back for this week’s game.

Taysom Hill set to start this week

Taysom Hill who has been dealing with a finger injury along with a foot injury is set to start this week at quarterback. Sean Payton confirmed that Hill will start this week at quarterback, “This will be the next opportunity for him and I think he’ll do well.” For the crowd who wants Siemian or Book to start, it doesn’t appear that will happen as long as Hill is fully capable of being healthy.

Alvin Kamara eyeing return

After missing four straight games, star running back Alvin Kamara is looking like he’ll be back for Sunday’s game vs the Jets. Kamara was close to playing vs the Cowboys last week on Thursday night football, but the factor of having an extra 10 day period for recovery and rest until the next game ultimately made the decision that Kamara wouldn’t play vs the Cowboys. According to Saints reporter Jeff Duncan, Alvin Kamara will practice this week and barring any setbacks, he should play this week.

Mark Ingram placed on Covid list

Running back Mark Ingram is the second player placed on the Covid list this week for the Saints after Cam Jordan tested positive for Covid. Ingram tested positive for Covid and wasn’t a close contact. Ingram, who is vaccinated, will need two negative tests if he is asymptomatic before Sunday if he wants to play along with Cameron Jordan.

Russell Wilson rumors

According to Jordan Schultz, current Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson would be willing to waive his no trade clause for three teams, the Saints, Giants, and Cowboys. The Saints will be in the quarterback market this offseason and will likely try to make a strong push for a top tier quarterback if they feel Jameis Winston isn’t the future. There were rumors last offseason about Wilson wanting to go to the Saints, prior to the trade deadline the Saints called the Seahawks about Wilson’s availability for this offseason.

Saints news

From the comments of Marquez Callaway, practice squad wide receiver Easop Winston will get pulled up to the roster for Sunday’s game vs the Jets.

Taysom Hill will be throwing with a splint on his finger, there will also be a slight rain in the forecast for Sunday so the throwing situation needs to be figured out quickly.
