David Onyemata Activated to Roster, Other Saints News

One last day of Saints news before they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a Halloween Sunday game. Roster cuts were made to make room for guys like David Onyemata who is making his season debut tomorrow. The Saints elevated only one player off the practice squad for tomorrow’s game as well as opposed to their usual two.

Marshon Lattimore was fined $10,815 for his unnecessary roughness penalties towards DK Metcalf Monday night.

Metcalf, who wasn’t flagged Monday, was fined $6,949.

Neither Marcus Davenport or Chauncey Gardner Johnson were fined for their unnecessary roughness penalties.

Seahawks tight end Gerald Everett was fined $10,300 for his unsportsmanlike penalty after throwing a football at P.J. Williams on the sideline.

Some roster news and adjustments include placing Andrus Peat on injured reserve after receiving surgery on his pectoral earlier this week.

Running back Devine Ozigbo, who wore number 28, was waived by the team and offensive tackle Jordan Mills was signed to the 53 man roster. Possible number change for Mark Ingram to 28 soon.

Wide receiver Kevin White was elevated to the active roster for Sunday’s game. This is his second elevation, meaning if the Saints want him to play another game they have to sign him to the roster.

The best news of all is that defensive tackle David Onyemata was activated off the exempt list after serving a seven game suspension. He is officially back on the roster and will play tomorrow vs Tampa Bay.
