Saints Vs Panthers Pregame Guide

The Saints will travel to Carolina in a week two division game matchup. Two 1-0 teams in an important game for future standings. Here’s your pregame guide.

*I would like to just say the Panthers haven’t beaten the Saints in a meaningful game since 2016. In 2018 all the starters were out.

How/where to watch it

The game will be played 10:00 AM PCT, 12:00 PM CT, 1:00 PM EST at Bank of America Stadium. Here’s a map of who will get what games.

If you don’t get the game; links to live streams of the game will be sent to my Saints groups chat. Link is here to join: https://relevnt.app/vibe/44763

Injury report

The Saints will be without Pete Werner, Erik McCoy, and Chase Hansen.

Kwon Alexander and Marcus Davenport are on IR.

Marshon Lattimore, Tanoh Kpassagnon, P.J. Williams, and Chauncey Gardner Johnson are questionable.

The Saints will also be without Jim Chaney (offensive analyst), Declan Doyle (offensive assistant), Phil Galiano (assistant special teams), Curtis Johnson, Brendan Nugent, Dan Roushar and Joel Thomas (running backs) will not be in attendance at Sunday’s game due to COVID-19 protocols.

Players to watch

  • Bradley Roby and Paulson Adebo
  • Payton Turner whose in for Davenport
  • Zack Baun who should get majority of reps with Kwon out (Wynton McManis could possibly be pulled up)

Things to keep an eye on

  • How does the secondary perform without Marshon Lattimore
  • How comfortable is Bradley Roby/Adebo in coverage
  • Can the linebackers keep Christian McCaffrey contained in the run and pass game, especially with Kwon and Davenport out and possibly Kpassagnon.
  • Does Sean Payton stick with a similar game plan as last week in terms of rotating carries with Kamara and Jones
  • Can a receiver stand out more rather than just having 2-3 catches. Can they be consistently reliable?
  • If Marshon Lattimore plays, how comfortable does he look with the cast on his hand in coverage
